15th & 17 th Century Chateau

Set in the heart of Anjou, in the Loire Valley, Château de Noirieux was built on the land in the 15th century, a typical late mediaeval house in a mixture of stone and half-timbering with mullioned windows. In the reign of Louis XIV, Noirieux was graced with the house whose elegant classical facade looks out today over the picturesque river Loir. Nowadays it has been entirely renovated and restored to its former glory. Chateau de Noirieux, located in nine hectares of parkland framed by luxuriant foliage and rhododendron bushes offers priceless views across the river Loir which stretch out before you like a painting of dreamlike wooded parks and flower hedges from long French windows.
Nine of the hotelrooms are situated in the mainbuilding, the Château of the 17th century and ten rooms are situated in the beautiful 15th century Manor House. All the rooms dispose of: Satellite TV, Private Safe, Minibar, Radio alarm / Telephone, Hairdryer.
Savour refined dishes from the ovens of Gérard Côme and his team which changes with the rhythm of the seasons, and is elegantly served either in the Orangery room, the adjoining Victorian-style conservatory, or in summer on the terrace looking out over green fields gently sloping down to the river Loire and accompany them with fine wines of exceptional vintages from the Loire region. As darkness falls, sit by the fireside in the great hall in a moment of quiet solitude, until the marquetry grand piano tempts you irresistibly to sit down at the keyboard. After strolling through the winter garden or reclining in front of an elegant fireplace in the lounge, retire to a sumptuous Louis XIII or Regency guest room hung with superb works of art.
