The ‘Chateau de Bournel’ located in the heart of the Franche Comté Country between Burgundy and Alsace at the crossroads of the Range of the Jura Hills, has belonged to the same family for 5 centuries, welcomes golfers and travellers to a setting of greenery and absolute quietude, far from the towns but close to motorway junctions.
The Hotel itself is part of the ‘Vieux Château’ dating back to the 18th Century and comprises 16 rooms and suites of ‘grand confort’, spacious reception rooms, a bar and several conference and seminar rooms.
The 80 hectares of English-style park land surrounding the mansion of ‘Château Neuf’ (19th Century) includes an 18 hole golf course – by 72 – of very high quality. The French architect, Mr. Robert Berthet has managed to preserve the hundred-year-old trees, planned water cascades and naturally terraced landscape characteristics to design a golf course leaving nothing to be desired. The Club House is part of the old ‘Vieux Château’ castle (18th Century) incorporating the ‘Hôtel - Restaurant du Golf’. There are 25 practise ranges – 8 of these are under roof – a putting green as well as a miniature 3 hole golf course to complete the overall golf complex. For the organisation of informal functions, conferences, customer- or supplier meetings, technical days, training days, round tables and all other business and professional functions.
This is the ideal location, quietude, with character, excellent comfort, reception service and the necessary technical equipment to optimise the success of the function.
