The Abbaye de Sainte Croix is a magnificient XII Century abbey located on one the last strongholds of the Alpilles hills, and this romanesque monastery was restored from 1960 to 1970 to reach the standard of a four stars hotel.
Today, the Abbey offers the same peace and quiet of the past, when monks needed absolute tranquility for their prayers and meditation, and now it allows guests enjoy their stay.
The bedrooms, tastefully fixed up in the monksī cells, harmonize perfectly with the Romanesque architecture of the building. No two are the same, and if one has south-facing terrace, another will be off the beautiful Chapel courtyard.
In the dining room has large bay windows with a view, and in nice weather meals are served on the terrace. In the same way, in summer we propose a simple lunch service by the pool, reserved for hotel guests only. |
